ENTREPRENEURS FOUNDATION OF HAWAI`I
SERVICE DAY AT WAIMANALO ELEMENTARY & INTERMEDIATE SCHOOL
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 8, 2011

Volunteers recruited by EF Hawai`i landscaped the areas around three school signs at the entrances to Waimanalo Elementary & Intermediate School on October 8, 2011. The project was completed in partnership with Hawaii 3R’s, a nonprofit organization that repairs, remodels, and restores public schools, and Takenaka Landscaping, which provided the plants, tools, and supervision. Staff and parents from the school provided refreshments and lunch. The work would otherwise have cost $20,000, but was completed for $8,300 thanks to the volunteer labor provided by EF Hawai`i. A reporter from Channel 4 wrote up the event: http://www.kitv.com/news/29429516/detail.html.
